ENERGYNEST is a dynamic and fast-paced energy company founded in 2011. Our team has engineered scalable, modular thermal batteries to store and supply clean energy-on-demand. Our storage solutions are one of the most important levers to reduce energy consumption and decarbonize industry. That’s no easy task: we’re rapidly scaling up and want to acquire the best talent.

Our Norwegian office is in Billingstad, close to Oslo.

What you will do

• You will be the go-to person for steam engineering principles and detailed insight on steam systems. 
• You will assess how various water/steam conditions (temperature, pressure, flow, chemistry) affects design, material selection and specifications of equipment, pipes, and instrumentation and control components. 
• You will prepare engineering documents such as data sheets, for equipment, valves and instruments, and contribute to design of among others piping & instrumentation diagrams. 
• You will contribute to overall design- and optimization of process layout and performance of Thermal Battery systems. 
• You will interact with clients, suppliers and other external companies, including collaboration with partners, worldwide. 
  

Your skills and experiences

• You have a M.Sc or higher from university/college in mechanical-, energy- or process engineering, or related fields. Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.  
• You have minimum 8 years of relevant theoretical work experience with steam components and systems, e.g. related to design of steam boilers and integration of equipment in steam systems. 
• You have relevant practical work experience in steam systems, e.g. related to commissioning and/or operation of steam boilers, steam turbines and so on. 
• Your knowledge about steam accumulators / Ruths storage is desirable. 
• Your experience with steam turbines, especially in steam power plants, is desirable. 
• You are practical with a good understanding of industrial processes.  
• You are structured and analytical and can offer good collaboration skills & the ability to work in teams.  
• You have good presentation skills in English (C1 is required), in written and oral.
